When Failure Hits On You.
•How To Step Up Your Game And Hit Back.
I'm staring at this picture thinking of where to start from, the truth is, I struggle with failure...a lot, the fear of failing sometimes keeps me up at night. So, just maybe, this is for me, while you think it's for you.
Literally, I perceived that there are many ways to Failure's house. I want you to think about this
- When you don't prepare for something, you are bound to fail.
- When your preparation is not enough, you might also fail.
- When you prepare and prepare again and again, you might still fail.
Failure might look like an adversity but it's actually a tool. It prompts you to call for retreat, which brings out your hidden potential that makes you see yourself in a new light. One thing, we need to learn to do is, to look beyond our nose that is, beyond our failure.
Do you want to be successful at what you do? I'm assuming your answer is a YES. Tell me, who would not want to, even a slothful person wants to. Being successful does not come with a preparation package of one night or one week intense self development activities, it's actually a lifelong process like a journey but it takes years. Tony Robinson, Dan Lok, Oprah Winfrey, Chiamanda Adichie didn't start their success story from a week or an overnight reading or preparation spree.
No, they had years implanted in gruesome defeats, try agains, and rejections, …
Do you want to take up that smooth stone and fling it, like how David did against Goliath? How can we defeat this F-tool? Let's start with our EQ, otherwise called Emotional intelligence. As we know, it’s not the smartest people who are the most successful or the most fulfilled in life. You probably know people who are academically brilliant and yet are socially inept and unsuccessful at work or in their personal relationships. We all have EQ, but many of us don't even know that we do. Successful people have a high level of emotional intelligence this is because, they developed, learned and refined their EQ.
So, how do you do this?, step up your game by being Self-Aware, you need to recognize your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behavior. You must be able to use your emotions to make constructive decisions about your behavior. You also need to know your strengths and weaknesses, and have self-confidence, this is very different from being arrogant, you need to believe in yourself and your competence. Being arrogant is like being egoistic in your approach by oppressing people with your competence.
Then, you need to discover and develop your Potential, for some of us who don't know how, I will brush up a little on how to. The deal is, many people discover their potential based in their quest on fulfilling purpose. Purpose is the reason for the creation or existence of something. Having a sense of purpose affect our self worth. So, start by knowing your design, this implies that you need to know yourself , your strength, weakness, interest and personality type; you do this by taking personality test and you can get free and cheap one's self analysis analysison and tests on the internet.
Then, unleash your potential through service, not to yourself but to others, once you begin to add value to people's lives, then your life begins to have a meaning, hence your purpose. You can't really know what you can do unless you try. Lastly, learn to follow your intuition, it doesn't deceive especially when your motives are pure.
From all that has been said and done, you can't avoid to omit the God factor in these points listed. The divine rule says that if we commit our ways into Gods hand he will direct our path… and that my friend is no joke.

Good job!
