Wonderous gift



Have you ever wondered
What brought the reason
Have you ever wondered
What brought the season
God, the one and only
Sending the ultimate emissary
God in flesh, the word in flesh
Flesh as man, a gift to man
You want the reason?
You are the reason
He made you as a salt
Seasoned for greatness
He sees you differently
As a royal priesthood
A peculiar people
The scripture says
'Be ye holy for I am holy'
He sees you as an holy nation
His purpose was predestined
For us to have eternal destiny
By the shedding of his blood
He purchased us all

Have you ever wondered
What brought the reason
Have you ever wondered
What brought the season
He came as a child
Can you imagine
God came as a child
From such sublimity to such lowliness
From heaven to  a manger
He's filled with no guile
Yet forced ye him 
To be punished like a thief
Saying that,
Makes my heart bleed

So vast is the ocean of his knowledge
The Elites had no choice
But to gather and listen
His love was so great yet so humble
He became the Messiah
Fulfilling the prophecy
Making us,
Those who believe in Him,
Joint- heirs with Him
He laid, He gave a wonderous gift.
His life was that gift.
