Books : 20 Things to do in the year 2020.

It might seem that this is coming late but it isn't.
Welcome to the year 2020.
I am persuaded of great things in the new year.
I celebrate all your achievements in the last year and I wish you double in the new year
As we step into 2020, I will be giving you 20 things to do in the new year. I learnt this from a great mentor of mine and I will be happy to share with you.
We will take it 1 per day, I will try to be consistent on this.
So, that means I will be posting on my blog for the next 20 days.
2020 is a year we will need to move together, with no one left behind.
Follow me closely and we will all have great results to show for it.Amen!
Once again, Welcome to the year 2020.
2020 means Vision a state of being able to see,
the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.
This is 2020 in a nut shell. Let's enter the year with the ability to think about and plan the future.

All Thanks be to God and our Convener Mrs Oyenike Adeleke, Founder of Ibadan Entrepreneur Network,IEN on the STRETCH WhatsApp platform.
**************
2019 has been a year full of The Good, The Bad and The Best. For some people, you were able to achieve some part of your goals, and for some, you were not able to.
Don't beat yourself, there's a chance to make things better. So, here's my introduction, I'm not a fan of new year Resolutions!

In fact, I will say to you, "Say No To New Year Resolutions!". What you need is a new year Revolution. You have got to look at why you do the things you do and have a thought check,
Otherwise they will follow you to the new year.

We all need to ask ourselves this question;

The way things are being done now, will we get to where we're going?

If you're headed in the wrong direction, and you increase your speed, you are  only getting there faster. So, I want us to think on some things you need to do conciously to get the best from the new year.

So, are we ready for the first One?
 No.1
BOOKS

You need to make reading a habit. We do know that understanding only comes by information. In the good book, Daniel said , "I Daniel I understand by the books". There are various opportunities, information and connections you can get from reading a book.
I personally have a goal to read 60 books this year even though I read 50 books last year.
Listen, you need to start reading!
Readers they say are leaders! And that's the sincere truth.I discovered that the books I read actually give me an edge. I look smarter than my age because I have information. When I get to some gatherings, I am able to relate well and contribute to some meaningful discussions because I have read about that topic before. Let me ask you, do you read the papers? New York Times,Tribune, Punch, This Day... I don't buy them, but I read them online. The internet has made life easy for us, you should know what's happening in the economy!. Okay,so "what's the update about The Budget?" I'm sure you're wondering, what on earth that will do to you or add to you. Let me teach you a trick, I don't even read the papers all the way, I have subscribed for news update, once the head line pops, I just read it, read the first few lines, middle, end and bam!, I'm ready for a discussion.

Never be caught silent when any issue is being raised. You need to know that the best deals are cut on the golf club, at the Clubs and sometimes at the hang outs!. But before they talk about deals, they start with current affairs, what's happening at different industries, Who is doing what and how...Once you can't contribute to the initial discussion, you can't be a part of the deal cutting process.

Each time you open your mouth to speak, wisdom, information, Understanding must come out. The books you read give you the information you need to stand out. Please,  Please, Please, cultivate the habit of reading. Let's all add this habit to our daily routine. Let's spend less time on social media and more time on reading.
