Time : 20 Things To Do In The Year 2020

No. 2 TIME
Time is the key factor to success. Alot of people have no respect for time,we need to respect peoples time and  also our own time. A lot of us need to work on our timing. Let me give you an example, you have a 9am appointment and you leave the house just few minutes before 9, you are ready to go late.

I will tell you a quick story. I once met a woman online and I admire her work. I sent her a message on her IG page and fortunately for me, she replied.
I asked her to mentor me and she said she's very occupied as at that time that I'll have to wait for some weeks before she can take me. She eventually called me to come over for a meeting in Lagos, when I had my first meeting with her, I was so excited. I looked my best, I was on point, I got there early.  We spoke and she was impressed with me. So, she gave me another appointment and I got there 10 mins late. She frowned at it and she said that I disrespected her đŸ˜£đŸ˜£
I was wondering, how? What did I do?,  At that meeting she said she won't take that again and then she gave me different ideas and she promised to link me up with 4 major companies in Lagos that can support my next event. I was happy, very happy.
My next appointment came, I had to go to lagos to meet her. Unfortunately, I was held up in traffic, I didn't plan my time well and then I got there late again. Well, I sent her a message at 15mins to my appointment that I'm already in Lagos but I was held up on the third mainland bridge. When I finally got there, she was in her office but she refused to see me. I begged her Personal Assistant, I sent apology letter, mail and the list goes on.That experience is still painful to me. Till tomorrow, I have not. Been able to reach her again. She travelled out of the county after that and by the time she got back, I was no longer in the picture. All she saw was that I don't respect her, she felt insulted.

Some of us need to adopt the time principle for a better 2020. We need to use time well, there are some people that if they tell me "I'll be there in 1 hour, I can travel to Lagos and back and they still won't be there. Their respect for time is very bad. Be weary of time wasters in 2020.  Never allow anyone to waste your time cos in essence, they are wasting your money. You need to see time as money and start saving your resources.
I want to encourage you to use time wisely in this new year. Some people will get more opportunities if only you are seen as timely, responsible or Respectful. Never be caught saying You are willing away time!, Haaba! That's a very bad statement.
If you respect time more, you will be able to do much more. Assign a time to everything you do. Decide how much time you want to spend with friends, On social media, Watching TV, On the phone, even with work.Don't be carried away and just allow time to slip. Someone  typed her first book in Lagos traffic,She said on her way back from work, She types on her phone.
Utilize the traffic to read a book. Don't allow it to go to waste. If you're not driving, you can read a book or finish a write up, while in the traffic. What if you're driving? You can do voice recording of your ideas and transcribe later, you could listen to a Message, there are audio books. Ideas come even while driving you could pack and write it down.
I have come to discover that many of us know exactly what to do, but but we need will power to achieve it. Let's make a conscious effort to use time wisely. Each person has 24 hours, even time to sleep should not be abused.
