Can't Let You Go Book Review

I have always loved Shakespeare's book, I have read countless numbers of them, despite being a science student.
But Romeo and Juliet were the last of his book, I had read while I was in secondary school probably because I was not matured yet, in that department. Oh! Yeah I remember, the words we're too cheesy for my liking, I guess being a tomboy and all but, I'm glad I read it, the way my mind works sometimes, I don't even understand.
So, as usual, I stumbled on another book by Jenny B. Jones, you know she wrote the award-winning book Save the date and There you'll find me.

Although this book is a series of a sequel to her other books on Katie Parker Production...

It really, really inspired me a lot as this is why this blog was created, to inspire. So, I will be sharing an excerpt from the book. Think a bit as you read through…

“O teach me how I should forget to think,” quoted Maxine.“What?”“It’s a line from your very first play. Recognize it?”I thought I might. “Did Romeo say that?”“He did indeed. ‘O teach me how I should forget to think,’” she repeated. “Sweet Pea, sometimes thinking is the last thing we should do. Logic doesn’t always lead us down the right path. Logic tells us not to take chances. Not to chase after that risk. To ignore the what ifs. I guess part of growing up is deciding when to listen to your head . . . and when to listen to your heart.”“I want to be valiant.” My whispered admission sounded like a trumpet blast to my ears.Maxine drew herself up to a seated position and eased to her feet. With a tug on my hand, she pulled me up. “Then do it, honey.” She held a fierce grip on my shoulders. “Be valiant.”“What if I fail? What if I go all the way to New York and don’t make it?”Then we’ll eat lots of pie and decide what to do then. But for now, take that chance. You have a gift, and Sweet Pea, life is waiting for you to pick it back up.”I took another long look at the theater—my home for so many years, my sanctuary, and place of safety. “I’m really scared.”She gave my cheek a gentle pat. “Sounds like the first line to what will become a remarkable story. One I can’t wait to see you write.”We walked off the stage hand-in-hand, my grandmother humming a catchy little ditty, and me with my whirling thoughts. The next few weeks and months would be terrifying, but I was ready to take that first step. If I fell on my face, I had a wonderful family to pick me right back up.

It's deep right, talk about some serious talk break down,  don't you just love Grandmas, bear in mind, that 'family' doesn't just reflect on the nuclear ones but on friends, community members, and even extended ones.
We have some decisions to make but we keep on procrastinating, we need to make one asap. Stop postponement, take the steps.

We will be alright in the end.

Hey! I almost forgot the book title.
