What gift will you say you want, if someone ask you
I woke up this morning thinking about some deep things, I have been trying to get over. I know I will by God's guidance obviously but I can't help to think that, I'm the only one among my friends and siblings who seem to be thinking like this. If God asked me, like how he asked Solomon, what gift I really wanted, that will be mind-reading but in the biblical context, it will be the spirit of discernment.
I got to know a little bit about people from a very young age and it wasn't an amazing experience, now older, well, let's just say, the ability to differentiate the good from the bad ones is relatively based on intuition and don't I have a lot of that especially when they come in sheep clothing. I wish I have that gift, you know, the inclusive ability to be able to see someone for what they are and situations for what it is, like an Artificial Intelligence self-aware machine giving details. This isn't based on a mindset to judge but to understand the way people are or what they ought to be, psychology doesn't do justice, to me it's not the way of life but a study of a deliberate act, being perceived unconsciously to deceive, don't get me wrong, it's just my take, you can have your own opinion.
Probably, having this gift will make me a good judge of character, come to think of it, living life in a rush won't do much either. The next thing you know, I have a consulting firm, radio and TV interviews and the list goes on.
So let's think back a little bit, my reason for having such a gift was for my personal preference but later, it will be shared. Whatsoever we have, say finance, materials, love, happiness prayers are actually meant to be distributed. Having gifts will help us but to those around us, it will mean a lot.
Being a blessing to others is one of the many ways to live a fulfilled life on earth.
