I tried to see you, the way I want to I want to feel you, the way I want to I have stories to tell you Oh, you already knew them You read my mind I still want you to listen You made my mind I know I can’t hide secrets from you I can’t even hold them I lack the Adam's apple I really don't know how to relate to you I don’t know if a relationship is possible But your expertise screams otherwise Who wouldn’t want one with you I wish I could really know you The way you want me to I wish I could stand with you The way I ought to  In all bitterness and sweetness In all abundance and famine In all cry and laughter  In all pain and joy In all success and failures I wish I could know you deeply Talking all nights till daybreak Talking all morning till evening tide Understanding your parables Applying your words Filled with incensed power Bearing zealous burdens Shielding them off With services and sacrifices And when I wish for insomnia When the deep tale start Hold me, guide m...

When Failure Hits On You.

Image
•How To Step Up Your Game And Hit Back. I'm staring at this picture thinking of where to start from, the truth is, I struggle with failure...a lot, the fear of failing sometimes keeps me up at night. So, just maybe, this is for me, while you think it's for you. Literally, I perceived that there are many ways to Failure's house. I want you to think about this When you don't prepare for something, you are bound to fail. When your preparation is not enough, you might also fail. When you prepare and prepare again and again, you might still fail. Failure might look like an adversity but it's actually a tool. It prompts you to call for retreat, which brings out your hidden potential that makes you see yourself in a new light. One thing, we need to learn to do is, to look beyond our nose that is, beyond our failure. Do you want to be successful at what you do? I'm assuming your answer is a YES. Tell me, who would not want to, even a slo...

Can't Let You Go Book Review

Image
I have always loved Shakespeare's book, I have read countless numbers of them, despite being a science student. But Romeo and Juliet were the last of his book, I had read while I was in secondary school probably because I was not matured yet, in that department. Oh! Yeah I remember, the words we're too cheesy for my liking, I guess being a tomboy and all but, I'm glad I read it, the way my mind works sometimes, I don't even understand. So, as usual, I stumbled on another book by Jenny B. Jones, you know she wrote the award-winning book Save the date and There you'll find me . Although this book is a series of a sequel to her other books on Katie Parker Production ... It really, really inspired me a lot as this is why this blog was created, to inspire . So, I will be sharing an excerpt from the book. Think a bit as you read through… “O teach me how I should forget to think,” quoted Maxine. “What?” “It’s a line from your very first play....

How can I Forgive and still act normal with the person

Image
What a way to put it, isn't it? Forgiveness is one phenomenon, some people especially Christians find it hard to do, It might be easy to say 'I have forgiven you' but acting it out that is a lot of work. It's true there are many bad, very bad things people do to one another and forgiveness does not cut it, but God wants us to operate on that stand to forgive one another Let me say this, any time ,you find yourself in a worst case scenario, bad things happen, but the misery why it happens to you is one of the things we can't really comprehend….natural disaster happens but why does it keep occurring, science may explain its occurrence or why, but it keeps happening. I might digress a bit, why do bad things happen? Does God even exist? He does. Look at this, from this angle, there are Barbers right?, they shave beards and do hair cut. Why is it that some people don't shave their hair, because maybe they don't want to, hence, they don't need...

What gift will you say you want, if someone ask you

Image
I woke up this morning thinking about some deep things, I have been trying to get over. I know I will by God's guidance obviously but I can't help to think that, I'm the only one among my friends and siblings who seem to be thinking like this. If God asked me, like how he asked Solomon, what gift I really wanted, that will be mind-reading but in the biblical context, it will be the spirit of discernment.  I got to know a little bit about people from a very young age and it wasn't an amazing experience, now older, well, let's just say, the ability to differentiate the good from the bad ones is relatively based on intuition and don't I have a lot of that especially when they come in sheep clothing. I wish I have that gift, you know, the inclusive ability to be able to see someone for what they are and situations for what it is, like an Artificial Intelligence self-aware machine giving details. This isn't based on a mindset to judge but to understand t...

When I really needed an escape

Image
E veryone has their own stories to tell, some, a simple anecdote made things easier. I have always assumed that an escape is really needed when and if I was talking to a bored or shitty person on a date or in a bar, then probably a tall dark and handsome guy will swipe me away, well that's how far my fantasy goes. Ever since, I could remember, at the age of 5 or maybe less, our house, the rented apartment we stayed in, was on fire, the house was a two-story building. I don't even know how the fire started but they said it was caused by a gaseous leak from a gas shop apartment below us. The 'boom' sound-triggered my tiny legs, they skipped on the already slanted corridor, maybe it was my eyes that became slanted, I can't say because even in my flashback, all I could see is the same slanted passage. At that moment, I didn't remember my parent or even my little brother, I don't even know where they were, I just kept running, till two big black hands ...

What Life Has Taught Me In A Nutshell .

Image
Life taught me to gain pain and to shape shame Life taught me that nothing matters unless it's yours Life taught me that selfishness comes before selflessness Life taught me that hope are for the hopeless Life taught me that books are not friends but guides Life taught me that words are nothing but tools Life taught me that actions speak louder Life taught  me that knowing is better than ignorance Life taught that isolation is idleness Life taught me that arrogance is pride Life taught me that there are always enemies Life taught me that waiting is humbling Life taught me that malice is adverse Life taught me that acceptance is key Life taught me that no soul deeply cares Life taught me that tears are in different shades Life taught me that joy is long-lasting and happiness is very short Life taught me that satisfaction is overrated Life taught me that everyone sees you Life taught me that pretending is cool Life taught me that h...

Being You

Image
Guide  to Self-Discovery. ' When being you is what you have to be' F rom where I come from the terms- me, myself and I is marked as being selfish whether it is used in speech or in text. No one is interested in the real you, but they want honesty when they have dealings with you. Such irony? Do you have the slightest idea of what you really are? I'm not saying I want to know your secret but, can you give me a rundown of what makes you, you? My Philosophical friend will say, the past, 'the past makes me who I am'. May be?  But let's move on. In this digital era,it's like our life is on a fast-forward, before you know it, we've left our parents house, gained admission, graduated, already working, married and start having children and the same cycle repeats itself over and over again. But when life happens we start to question everything and everyone- your work, family, friends and even relationships. You begin to see the fault in everything, w...

Committment and not Celebration on the Second International Education Day.

Image
Education is a strategic aim, we all need to achieve for inclusiveness and empowerment to be whatever it is we wanna. The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 24th January as International Day of Education, last year was the first year to mark the role of education for peace and development. Today, marks another. According to UNESCO, without inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong opportunities for all, countries will not succeed in achieving gender equality and breaking the cycle of poverty that is leaving millions of children, youth and adults behind. However, implemention of good educational strategies should be our goal in this year; going back to the drawing board, seeing beyond the years ahead of us, perceiving that freedom is not the only weapon, education has to offer. So far, they say education is both formal and informal, it's true, but what good is it to learn one and leave the other. Education, Learning is important, the ability to read, ...

Time : 20 Things To Do In The Year 2020

Image
No. 2 TIME Time is the key factor to success. Alot of people have no respect for time,we need to respect peoples time and  also our own time. A lot of us need to work on our timing. Let me give you an example, you have a 9am appointment and you leave the house just few minutes before 9, you are ready to go late. I will tell you a quick story. I once met a woman online and I admire her work. I sent her a message on her IG page and fortunately for me, she replied.  I asked her to mentor me and she said she's very occupied as at that time that I'll have to wait for some weeks before she can take me. She eventually called me to come over for a meeting in Lagos, when I had my first meeting with her, I was so excited. I looked my best, I was on point, I got there early.  We spoke and she was impressed with me. So, she gave me another appointment and I got there 10 mins late. She frowned at it and she said that I disrespected her 😣😣 I was wondering, how? What did...
